An Arizona We Can Afford: Leaders De Los Santos & Sundareshan introduce our 2026 priorities
Legislative Democrats unite to lower the cost of living by fighting corporate greed, making healthcare affordable, and protecting public education. LOWER COSTS & STOP CORPORATE GREED Donald Trump's tariffs are a betrayal of working families, increasing prices and causing massive economic chaos and job losses. While families continue to struggle to afford groceries and everyday necessities, Donald Trump's tariffs and greedy corrupt corporations cashing in are pushing costs even higher. But Democrats are fighting back. We have legislation to lower costs and hold corporations accountable: stop big utilities from shifting data center and AI expenses onto families, crack down on price gouging, and curb corporations and out-of-state investors from driving up housing prices. MAKE HEALTHCARE AFFORDABLE Every Arizonan deserves affordable, quality healthcare. Republicans look away as Big Pharma and corporate insurers drive up prices, but Democrats are fighting back. We’re introducing legislation to lower prescription drug costs, hold insurance giants accountable, and penalize companies that deny valid claims. In addition, we have legislation to launch a new consumer protection office to help Arizonans file complaints and appeals, providing real support for families when insurers try to cheat them. PROTECT PUBLIC SCHOOLS & EXPAND JOB OPPORTUNITIES While Republicans are gutting public schools, fraud runs rampant in their ESA voucher program, where parents are using taxpayer dollars to buy ski trips, diamond rings, and lingerie. Democrats are fighting back with legislation to crack down on these fraudulent purchases to end abuse and finally bring real transparency and accountability to the ESA program. ESA vouchers are draining dollars from public education, putting school districts in a tough position, including having to close neighborhood schools. We’ll stand with students, parents, and teachers to invest in public schools. And by renewing Prop 123, we can lower class sizes and guarantee free school meals to students. We are committed to expanding access to career and technical training so every student can graduate ready for apprenticeships and high-skill jobs.

Republicans don't provide proper ADA accommodations during a JLBC meeting
The Joint Legislative Audit Committee spent nearly $2M on secret allegations brought by Senator Hoffman against the Arizona State School for the Deaf & Blind. Republicans didn’t have the decency to provide a translator for the full duration of the committee, so this all happened while the audience was unable to follow along in an equal and fair manner.
