Miranda elected Senate Democratic Assistant Minority Leader

PHOENIX  Today, the Arizona State Senate Democratic Caucus elected Senator Catherine Miranda to serve as Assistant Minority Leader for the remainder of the 57th Legislature, effective immediately:


Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan (LD18) stated, “This moment in time is critical for us as Democrats. I want congratulate Senator Catherine Miranda and I look forward to the work we will accomplish together. Alongside Whip Rosanna Gabaldón and Caucus Chair Lela Alston, I am confident that this team will be successful in delivering real results for Arizonans. I want to extend my sincere thanks to Senator Bravo for his role and dedication to serving our caucus this session.”  


Senate Democratic Assistant Leader Catherine Miranda (LD11) added, “This is a great honor, and I do not take on this responsibility lightly. My caucus has entrusted me with this opportunity, and I look forward to the work this leadership will be able to do on behalf of the caucus and our constituents.
