Emmy-Winning Journalist Octavio Pulido to Lead Communications for Arizona Senate Democratic Caucus

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Arizona State Senate Democratic Leadership is proud to announce that Octavio Pulido will serve as the new Director of Communications for the Senate Democratic Caucus.
Pulido is a four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist with more than fourteen years of experience leading high-impact storytelling across national and regional platforms. Most recently, he served as a network news anchor and correspondent for Noticias Telemundo, delivering daily live coverage to millions of viewers across the United States and Latin America.
As an immigrant, Pulido has spent the majority of his career in Arizona, amplifying stories that reflect the realities and aspirations of working families. He previously anchored Telemundo Arizona’s evening newscasts, helping build community trust through accessible, culturally resonant reporting. Beyond the newsroom, he has collaborated with organizations such as the White House Office of National AIDS Policy and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, leading conversations that bridge public policy, media, and civic engagement.
